| In the name of God, the Almighty, the Most Merciful. | Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi | |
| 077:001 | By the winds which are sent. | Waalmursalati AAurfan |
| 077:002 | Then the gusts that blow. | FaalAAasifati AAasfan |
| 077:003 | And all that is scattered about. | Waalnnashirati nashran |
| 077:004 | So the separators which divide. | Faalfariqati farqan |
| 077:005 | Then the remembrance that is found. | Faalmulqiyati thikran |
| 077:006 | An excuse or a warning. | AAuthran aw nuthran |
| 077:007 | What you are being promised will come to pass. | Innama tooAAadoona lawaqiAAun |
| 077:008 | So when the stars are plunged. | Fa-itha alnnujoomu tumisat |
| 077:009 | And when the sky is opened. | Wa-itha alssamao furijat |
| 077:010 | And when the mountains are destroyed. | Wa-itha aljibalu nusifat |
| 077:011 | And when the messengers are gathered. | Wa-itha alrrusulu oqqitat |
| 077:012 | For what day has it been delayed? | Li-ayyi yawmin ojjilat |
| 077:013 | For the Day of Separation. | Liyawmi alfasli |
| 077:014 | And do you know what is the Day of Separation? | Wama adraka ma yawmu alfasli |
| 077:015 | Woe on that Day to the disbelievers! | Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena |
| 077:016 | Did We not destroy the ancient people | Alam nuhliki al-awwaleena |
| 077:017 | Then We made others succeed them? | Thumma nutbiAAuhumu al-akhireena |
| 077:018 | It is such that We do to the criminals. | Kathalika nafAAalu bialmujrimeena |
| 077:019 | Woe on that Day to the disbelievers! | Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena |
| 077:020 | Did We not create you from a fragile water | Alam nakhluqkum min ma-in maheenin |
| 077:021 | Then We made it in a place of protection | FajaAAalnahu fee qararin makeenin |
| 077:022 | Until a time that is predetermined? | Ila qadarin maAAloomin |
| 077:023 | So We measured, and We are the best to measure. | Faqadarna faniAAma alqadiroona |
| 077:024 | Woe on that Day to the disbelievers! | Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena |
| 077:025 | Did We not make the Earth an abode | Alam najAAali al-arda kifatan |
| 077:026 | Living and dead. | Ahyaan waamwatan |
| 077:027 | And We made massive stabilizers in it, and We gave you to drink fresh water? | WajaAAalna feeha rawasiya shamikhatin waasqaynakum maan furatan |
| 077:028 | Woe on that Day to the disbelievers! | Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena |
| 077:029 | Away with you towards what you have disbelieved. | Intaliqoo ila ma kuntum bihi tukaththiboona |
| 077:030 | Away with you to a shadow with three columns. | Intaliqoo ila thillin thee thalathi shuAAabin |
| 077:031 | Neither does it shade, nor does it avail from the flames. | La thaleelin wala yughnee mina allahabi |
| 077:032 | It throws sparks as huge as logs. | Innaha tarmee bishararin kaalqasri |
| 077:033 | As if they were yellow camels. | Kaannahu jimalatun sufrun |
| 077:034 | Woe on that Day to the disbelievers! | Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena |
| 077:035 | This is a Day when they shall not speak. | Hatha yawmu la yantiqoona |
| 077:036 | Nor will it be permitted for them so they can make excuses. | Wala yu/thanu lahum fayaAAtathiroona |
| 077:037 | Woe on that Day to the disbelievers! | Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena |
| 077:038 | This is the Day of Separation where We have gathered you with the ancient people. | Hatha yawmu alfasli jamaAAnakum waal-awwaleena |
| 077:039 | So if you have a scheme, then make use of it. | Fa-in kana lakum kaydun fakeedooni |
| 077:040 | Woe on that Day to the disbelievers! | Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena |
41-50
| 077:041 | The righteous are among shades and springs. | Inna almuttaqeena fee thilalin waAAuyoonin |
| 077:042 | And fruit from what they desire. | Wafawakiha mimma yashtahoona |
| 077:043 | "Eat and drink comfortably for what you used to do." | Kuloo waishraboo hanee-an bima kuntum taAAmaloona |
| 077:044 | It is such that We reward the good doers. | Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena |
| 077:045 | Woe on that Day to the disbelievers! | Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena |
| 077:046 | "Eat and enjoy for a little while, for you are criminals." | Kuloo watamattaAAoo qaleelan innakum mujrimoona |
| 077:047 | Woe on that Day to the disbelievers! | Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena |
| 077:048 | And when they are told to kneel, they do not kneel. | Wa-itha qeela lahumu irkaAAoo la yarkaAAoona |
| 077:049 | Woe on that Day to the disbelievers! | Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena |
| 077:050 | So in what words after this will they believe? | Fabi-ayyi hadeethin baAAdahu yu/minoona |
