It shall be so.


Iphigeneia.

Veiling first their heads with mantles.


Thoas.

Lest the sun pollution see.


Iphigeneia.

Send thou also of thy servants with me.


Thoas.

These shall go with thee.


Iphigeneia.

And throughout the city send thou one to warn—


Thoas.

'Gainst what mischance?


Iphigeneia.

That within all folk abide;— 1210


Thoas.

Lest any eye meet murder's glance.


Iphigeneia.

For the look shall bring pollution.


Thoas (to attendant).

Go thou, warn the folk of this.
