OF

Chriſtian Divinity.

Hriſtian Divinity, is the doctrine of the Knowledge and Worſhip of God, to his glory, and our ſalvation.

The Rules or Canons

are theſe

I. This word Theologie, or Divinity is diverſely taken: but in this place is underſtood that knowledge of God, which a Chriſtian may attain unto in this life out of Gods word.

The word Theologie being taken abuſively, is ſometime uſed for the Gentiles Divinity, which was threefold: Poetical, or fabulous, Philoſophical, or natural, Sacerdotal, or political, the ſcope
