And the two crews, Pythian and Corinthian, are to give an exhibition of rowing on the rowing-machines. I shall be in that, because I’m on the Pythians. It won’t be especially exciting, but I guess maybe I’d row better if you and father were in the audience. And then the day after Easter we could all go home together; that would be great.”

He was delighted when his mother wrote that she and his father would come.
