Archeologists of the future will find the ruins of the European war zone almost as full of horror and interest as those of Pompeii and Herculaneum. No disasters of ancient history are more tragic. It is likely that many such little towns as Iretelsburg, pictured here, will never be rebuilt on their old foundations, but that new sites will be chosen in the farming country near by. The cost of removing such ruins as these is prohibitive where land is cheap and the destruction so complete
