Fur to goä that night to ’er foälk by cause o’ the Christmas Eäve;

But I cleän forgot tha, my lad, when Moother ’ell gotten to bed,
An’ I slep i’ my chair hup-on-end, an’ the Freeä Traäde runn’d ‘i my ’ead,
