many will be liable to emphasize the physical to the neglect of the spiritual. If the evangelical churches, with all the stimulus which comes from united action, confined their coöperation to efforts in behalf of the physical, they would greatly facilitate an extreme action. But by directing their efforts to the service of the entire man they will be able to preserve a happy balance, on which their highest usefulness depends.
