Magdalen Coll., Camb., a student of the Inner Temple 29 Aug., 1859 (then aged 20), called to the bar 11 June, 1862 (only son of Francis Henry Davies, Esq., late registrar of Court of Chancery, and his wife Lady Lucy Clementina Drummond, sister of George, 14th earl of Perth); born 21 March, 1839; married 1 Dec., 1881, Florence Amelia Louisa, widow of Francis Nevill Reade, Esq., 2nd dau. of Hon. Adolphus Capell, brother of Arthur, 6th earl of Essex (see Foster's Peerage).
