8: But | the | neighbors | were mocking | saying, | not yet | he is afraid | to be killed | concerning | matter | this | and | I fled | and | behold | again | he buries | the | dead. |
9: And | in | the same | night | I left | from burying | and | I slept | being polluted | by | the | wall | of the | well | and | the | face | of me | uncovered | was. |
10: And | not | I knew | that | sparrows | in | the | wall | were | and | the | eyes | of me | being open | gave | the | sparrows | dug | into | the | eyes | of me | and | there came to be | a whiteness | in | the | eyes | of me | and | I went | to | the doctors | and | not | they helped | me. | And Achiacharus | nourished | me | until | I went | into | Elymais. |

11: And | the | wife | of me | Anna | labored | to | the | women |
12: And | he sent | to the | lords | and | they paid | her | and | the | wages | gave to her | also | a goat. |
13: | And when | I went | to | my house | I began | to cry | and | I said | to her | from where | the | goat | not | stolen | it is? | Give back | it | to the | lords | for not | lawful | it is | to eat | something stolen. |
14: | But | he said | a gift | given | to me | as | a | reward | and | nothing | I believed | her | and | said | to return | it | to the | lords | and | being ashamed | of | of her. | And she | answered | [and] said | to me | where | are | the | alms | of you | and | the | righteous deeds | of you, | behold | are known | all | your works. |
Chapter 3
1: And | being grieved | I wept | and | prayed | with | sorrow | saying, |
2: Just | you are | Lord | and | all | the | works | of your | and | all | the | ways | of you | are mercy | and | truth | and | judgment | truly | and | justly | you | judge | into | the | ages. |
3: Remember | me | and | look | upon | me | not | me | you should punish | the | sins | of me | and | the | ignorances | of me | and | the | fathers | of me | which | sinned | before | you: |
4: | For they transgressed | the | commandments | of you: | [Thus] you gave | us | for | a spoil, | and | to captivity | and | to death | and | a proverb | of reproach | to all | the | nations | en | whom | we are dispersed. |
5: And | now | many [are] | the | judgments | of you | are | [and] true: | with me | deal | according | to the | sins | of me | and | the | fathers | of me | because | not | we kept | the | laws | of you | For not | we have walked | in | truth | before | you. |
6: And | now | as | [seems] best | before | you | deal | with | me. | Command | to take | the | spirit | of me | in order that | I might dissolve, | and | I become | earth | because | it is more profitable | for me | to die | than | to live | because | of the reproaches | false, | I heard | and | pain | there is | much | in | me. | Command | to release | me | the | distress, | already | into | the | everlasting | place: | do not | turn | the | face | of you | from | me. |
7: In | the | same | day | came to be | the | daughter | Raguel | Sara | in | Ecbatane | the [city of] | Media | and | she | reproached | by | the maids | of the father | of her. |
8: Because | she had | been given | to husbands | seven | and | Asmodues | the | evil | demon | killed | them | before | to be married | them | with | her | as | in | a wife. | And | they said | to her | not | you have | strangled | your | husbands, | already | seven | you have | and | one | of them | not | you were named after. |
9: Why | us | you beat | if | they died, | go | with | them | let not | us see | your | son | or | daughter | into | the | age. |
10: These things | having heard | she was grieved | exceedingly | so as | to strangle herself. | And | she said | I am | of the | father | me. | If | I do | this | a reproach | it | is | and | the | old age | of him | I will bring down | with | pain | to | Hades. |
11: And | she prayed | to | the | window | and | said | blessed | are you | lord | the | God | of me | and | blessed | the | name | of you | [and] | holy | and | honorable | into | the | ages. | Bless | You | all | the | works | of you | into | the | ages. |
12: And | now | Lord | the | eyes | of me | and | the | face | of me | toward | you | I have given. |
13: Say, | take | me | from | the | earth, | and | not | may hear | me | no longer | the reproach. |
14: You | know | lord | that | clean | I am | from | all | sins | of men. |
15: And | not | I polluted | the | name | of me | nor | the | name | of the | father | of me | in | the | land | of the | captivity | of me. | Only begotten | I am | from the | father | of me | and | not | there is | for him | a child | which | will inherit | for him | nor | a brother | near | nor | exists | for him | a son | so that | I will keep | myself | for him | as wife | already | they are dead | to me | seven [husbands] | so | why | I | should live | and | if | not | it please | you | to die | me | command | to look | upon | me | and | to pity | me | and | no longer | hear | I | reproach. |
16: And | were heard | the | prayer | of both | before | the | glory | of the | majesty | of Raphel. |
17: And | he was sent | to heal | the | two | Tobit | to scale away | the | whiteness [of his eyes] | and | Sara | of | Raguel | to give | Tobias | the | son | of Tobit | as wife, | and | to bind | Asmodeus | the | evil | demon | because | of Tobias | it was given | to inherit | it | with | her. | At the | right time | returned | Tobit | [and] he entered | into | the | house | of him | and | Sara | of | Raguel | came down | from | the | upper chamber | of her. |
Chapter 4
1: In | day | that | remembered | Tobit | about | the | money | which | he gave | to Gabael | in | Rages | of | Media, |
2: And | he said | in | himself, | I | asked for | death. | Why | not | I call | for Tobias | the | son | of me | so that | for him | I might show | before | to die | me? |
3: And | having called | him, | he said, | My son, | if | I die | bury | me | and | not | despise | the | mother | of you, | honor | her | all | the | days | of the | life | of you | and | do | pleasing things | for her | and | not | you grieve | her. |
4: Remember | my son | that | many | dangers | she saw | for | you | in | the | womb | when | she is dead, | bury | her | by | me | in | one | grave. |
5: All | the | days | my son, | of the Lord | the | God | of us | be mindful | and | not | desire | to sin | nor | to transgress | the | commandments | of Him. | Uprightly | do | all | the | days | of the | life | of you | and | not | go | the | ways | of the | unrighteousness. |
6: Because if | deal | you | truly | prosperous success | they will be | in | the | works | of you. |
7: And | from all | your doing | righteous | from | the | goods | of you, | give alms | and | do not | let be envious | your | eye | in | dealings | of you | when giving alms. | Do not | turn away | the | face | of you | from | any | poor person | and | from | you | no | not | will be turned | the | face | of | God. |
8: If | you | have | an abundance | give | out | of them | alms. | If | a little | you | have | according to | that | little | not | afraid | to give | alms. |
9: | For a treasure | good | you store up | for yourself | in | the day | of necessity. |
10: Because | alms | from | death | deliver | and | not | allows | to enter | into | the | darkness. |
11: | For a gift | good | is | alms | to all | those | giving | it | in the presence | of the | most High. |
12: Take heed | to yourself | my son | from | all | fornication | and | women. | Foremost | take | from | the | seed | of the | fathers | of you | not | you should take | a wife | from another | which | not | is | from | the | nation | of the | fathers | of you | because | the children | of the prophets | we are | Noah, | Abraham, | Isaac, | Jacob: | the | fathers | of us | from | the | ages. | Remember | my son | that | those | fathers | took | wifes | from | the | brothers | of them | and | they were blessed | in | the | children | of them | and | the | seed | of them | will inherit | the earth. |
13: And | now | my son | love | the | brothers | of you | and | not | despise | in the | heart | of you | the | brothers | of you | and | the | sons | and | daughters | of the | people | of you, | to take | to yourself | from | them: | a wife | because | in | the | pride | is destruction | and | trouble, | much | and | in | the | lewdness | is decay | and | lack: | great | for | lewdness | mother | is | of | famine. |
14: The wages | of any | man | which | he has wrought | for | you | not | let him wait | but | give | him | immediately | and | if | you serve | God | he will repay | you. | Take heed | to yourself | my son | in | all | the | works | of you | and | be | wise | in | all | conduct | of you. |
15: And | that which | you hate | not | you should do. | Wine | for | drunkeness | not | you should drink | and | not | let go | with | you | drunkenness | in | the | journey | of you. |
16: From | the | bread | of you | give | to the hungry | and | from | the | clothes | of you | to the | naked; | all | from | the abundance | of you | give | alms: | and | not | let envy | your | eye | when | to give | you | alms. |
17: Pour out | the | bread | of you | on | the | burial | of the | just, | and | nothing | give | to the | sinners. |
18: Advise | from | all | that are wise | seek | and | not | despise | any | counsel | [that is] profitable. |
19: And | in | every | season | bless | the Lord | God | and | from | him | ask | so that | the | ways | of you | straight | be | and | all | [your] | paths | and | counsels | may prosper | for | every | nation | not | has | counsel; | but | himself | the | Lord | gives | all | good things | and | whom | if | he desires | he humbles | as | he wills | and | now | my child | remember | the | commandments | of me | and | not | put them | out | of the | heart | of you. |
20: And | now | I signify | to you | the | ten | talents | of | silver | which | committed | to Gabael | the | son of | Gabrias | in | Rages | of | Media. |
21: And | not | be afraid | my son | because | we are poor | there is | to you | much | if | you fear | God | and | keep away | from | all | sin | and | you do | the things [that are] | pleasing | before | Him. |
Chapter 5
1: And | answering | Tobias | said | to him, | father | I will do | everythinig | so much | you have commanded | me: |
2: But | how | I will be able | to take | the | silver | and | not | I know | him? |
3: And | he gave | him | the | handwriting, | and | said | to him | Seek | yourself | a man | who | will go with | you | and | I will give | him. | wages | while | I live | and | take [and] | go | the | silver. |
4: And | he went | to look for | a man | and | he found | Raphael | who | was | an angel | and | not | he knew. |
5: And | he said | to him, | if | I can | go | with | you | to | Rages | of | Media | and | if | acquainted | you are | with the | place? |
6: And | he said | to him, | the | angel | I will go | with | you | and | the | way | I am acquainted with | and | with | Gabael | the | brother | of you | I have lodged. |
7: And | said | to him, | Tobias | tarry | [with] me | and | I will tell | the | father | of me. |
8: And | he said | to him, | go | and | not | delay. |
9: And | having entered | he said | to his | father, | Behold | I found | someone who | will travel with | me | and | he said | I will call | him | to | me | in order | you might know | what sort | of tribe | his is from | and | if | trustworthy | to go | with | you. |
10: And | called | him | and | he entered | and | they greeted | each other. |
11: And | he said | to him, | Tobit, | Brother | from | which | tribe | and | from | which | family | you | are? | Show | me. |
12: And | he told | him | The tribe | and | the family | you | seek | or | wages | which | I will go | with | the | son | of you | and | he said | to him, | Tobit, | I wish | brother | to know | the | family | of you | and | the | name. |
13: | And | he said | I am | Azarious | of Ananias | the | great | of the | brothers | of you. |
14: And | he said | to him, | You are welcome | brother, | and | not | with me | be angry | because | I sought | the | tribe | of you, | and | the | father | of you | to know | and | you. | You are | a brother | of me | from | a | good | and | noble | linage. | For I knew | Ananias | and | Jonathas, | the | sons | of Samaias, | the | great | since | we went | together | into | Jerusalem | to worship | and to offer | the | firstborn | and | the | tenths | of the | fruits; | and | not | they were seduced | with | the | error | of the | brothers | of us. | From | a root | good | you are | brother. |
15: But | tell | me, | what | for you | I will | wages | give? | A drachma | per | day | and | the | things necessary | for you | as | also | for the | son | of me. |
16: And | I will add | to you | onto | your | wages | if | safely | you return. |
17: And | they were well-pleased | thus | and | he said | to | Tobias, | Ready | be | for | the | journey, | and | have a good journey | and | was ready | the | son | of him | the things | for | the | journey, | and | he said | to him | the | father | of him | go | with | the | man | and the one | in | the | heaven | dwelling, | God | will prosper | the | journey | of you | and | the | angel | of Him | let him go with | you | and | they went off | together | to leave | and | the | dog | of the | child | with | them. |
18: | And wept | Anna | the | mother | of him | and | said | to | Tobit, | Why | you sent away | the | son | of us | which | not | the | staff | of the | hand | of us | is | in | going out | and | coming | before | us? |
19: Silver | upon | silver | not | to be greedy | but | refuse | of the | child | of us | let it be. |
20: | For as | it was given | to us | to live | from | the | Lord | this | enough | for us | to be. |
21: And | said | to her | Tobit, | not | a word | take care | sister | safely | he will go | and | the | eyes | of you | will see | him. |
22: | For the angel | good | goes with | him, | and | will be prosperous | the | journey | of him | and | he will return | in good health. |
23: And | she ceased | weeping. |
Chapter 6
1: | And | going | on their | way | came | evening | to | Tigris | the river | and | they lodged | there. |
2: | And | the young man | went down | to wash himself | and | leapt up | a fish | from | the | river, | and | it intended | to consume | the | young man. |
3: | But | the angel | said | to him, | Take | the | fish | and | grabbed | the | fish | the | young man | and | drew up | it | up | to the | land. |
4: And | said | to him | the | angel | cut open | the | fish | and | take | the | heart | and | the | liver | and | the | gall | put them up | securely. |
5: And | did | the | young man | as | told | him | the | angel | and | the fish | having roasted it | they ate. |
6: And | went | both | until | they drew near | to | Ecbatane. |
7: And | said | the | young man | to the | angel | Azarias, | Brother | what | is | the | liver | and | the | heart | and | the | gall | of the | fish [for]? |
8: And | he said | to him, | the | heart | and | the | liver | if | any | should trouble | demon | the | spirit | evil | this | is necessary | to make smoke | before | the man | or | the woman | and | no longer | he will be vexed. |
9: | And | the gall | [is for] anointing | a man | who | has | whiteness | in | his | eyes | and | he will be healed. |
10: | And | they drew near | to | Rages. |
11: Said | the | angel | to the | young man, | brother, | today | we will lodge | with | Raguel, | and | he | cousin | of you | is | and | is | to him | a daughter | only one | named | Sara; |
12: I will speak | about | her | that given | to you | she | as | a wife | so that | for you | is given | the | inheritance | of her | and | you | alone | are | from | the | kindred | of her | and | the | maiden | good | and | wise | is. |
13: And | now | hear | me | and | I will speak | to the | father | of her | and | when | when we return | from | Rages | we will celebrate | the | wedding | because | I know | Raguel | since | no | not | he shall give | her | to a man | other | according | to the | law | of Moses | or | he will be fit | to die | because | the | inheritance | to you | belongs | to receive | rather than | any other | man. |
14: Then | said | the | young man | to the | angel | Azarias, | Brother | I have heard | the | the maid | has been given | to seven | men | and | all | in | the | bridal chamber | perished. |
15: And | now | I | only | am | of my | father | and | I fear | not | entering | I will die | just as | also | the | former ones | because | a demon | loves | her | which | not | hurts | anyone | except | those | coming | to her | and | now | I | am afraid | lest | I die | and | I bring down | the | life | of the | father | of me | and | the | mother | of me | with | pain | over | me | into | the | grave | of them | and | a son | other | not | there is | to them | which | will bury | them. |
16: | And said | to him | the | angel | not | you remember | the | word | which | commanded | you | the | father | of you, | concerning | taking | for you | a wife | from | the | family | of you | and | now | hear | me, | brother | because | to you | will be | a wife | and | the | demon | not one | word | hold | because | night | this | will be given | to you | her | for | a wife. |
17: And | if | you should enter | into | the | Bridal-chamber | you shall take | ashes | of incense | and | you shall place [them] | upon | the | heart | and | the | liver | of the | fish | and | you shall make smoke | and | will smell it | the | demon | and | he will flee | and | not | he will return | into the | ages | of | agoes. |
18: | And when | you go | to her | rise up | both of you | and | pray | for | the | mercy | of God | and | he will save | you | and | have pity. | Do not | fear | because | to you | she | prepared | was | from | the | beginning | and | you | her | will save | wand | will go | with | you | and | she will conceive | because | to you | is | from | her | a child. |
19: And | as | heard | Tobias | these things | he loved | her | and | the | soul | of him | was joined | to her | very much. |
Chapter 7
1: And | they came | into | Ecbatane, | and | went | into | the | house | of Raguel. | And Sara | met | them | and | greeted | them | and | they | her | and | she brought | them | into | the | house. |
2: And | said | Raguel | to Edna | the | wife | of him | similar | the | young man | is to Tobit | the | cousin | of me. |
3: And | asked | them | Raguel, | from where | you are | brothers | and | they said | to him | from | the | sons | of Nephthalim, | the | captives | in | Nineve. |
4: And | he said | to them | you know | Tobit | the | brother | of us. | And they | said | we know. |
5: And | he said | to them | He is well? | And they | said | also | he is alive | and | in good health | and | said | Tobias | father | of me | he is. |
6: And | leaped up | Raguel | and | kissed | him, | and | he wept | and | he blessed | him | and | said | to him, | A noble | and | good | man [you are son of] | and | having heard | that | Tobit | lost | the | eyes | of him | he grieved | and | wept. |
7: And | Edna | the | wife | of him | and | Sara | the | daughter | of him | wept | and | they welcomed | them | gladly. |
8: And | they killed | ram | of the flock | and | they placed | before [them] | many things. |
9: | And said | Tobias | to | Raguel: | Azarius | Brother | speak | on behalf | of which | you said | on | the | journey | and | let it be finished | the | business. |
10: And | changing | the | subject | Raguel | also | said | Raguel | to | Tobias | Eat | and | drink | and | gladly | be | you, | for | this here | the | son | of me | to take | however, | I will show | you | the | truth. |
11: I have given | the | son | of me | seven times | as husband | and | when | they enter | to | her | they die | on | the | night | but | now | merry | be. |
12: And | said | Tobias | not | I will eat | anything | here | until | you will set things in order, | and | you set them in order | with | me. | And | said | Raguel | I will give | her | from | now | according | to the | judgment. | And you | brother | are | of her | and | she | of you | is. | And the | merciful | God | will prosper | you | with | good things. |
13: And | he called | Sara | the | daughter | of him | and | taking | the | hand | of her | he gave | her | to | Tobias | as wife | and | said | behold | according | to the | law | of Moses | I bear | her | and | lead her away | to | the | father | of you | and | he will bless | them: |
14: And | he summoned | Edna | the | wife | of him | and | having taken | some paper | he wrote | a bill | and | they sealed it | and | they began | to eat. |
15: And | called | Raguel | Edna | the | wife | of him | and | he told | her, | Sister, | prepare | another | chamber | and | bring in | her. |
16: And | she did | as | he said | and | entered | it | there | and | she wept | and | received | the | tears | of the | daughter | of her | and | said | to her, |
17: Be of good cheer | child | the | Lord | of | heaven | and | earth | give | you | joy | for | this | sorrow | of you: | be of good cheer | daughter. |
18: |

Chapter 8
1: | And when | they had finished | the supper | they brought | Tobias | to | her. |
2: | And | as he went | he remembered | the | words | of Raphael | and | he took | the | ashes | of the | incense | and | placed | the | heart | of the | fish | and | the | liver | and | made smoke. |
3: | And when | smelled | the | demon | the | odor | he fled | to | the | utmost parts | of Egypt, | and | bound | him | the | angel. |
4: | And as | they were shut in | both | rose | Tobias | from | the | bed | and | said, | Arise | sister | and | let us pray | in order that | we | be shown mercy by | the | Lord. |
5: And | began | Tobias | to say, | Blessed | are you, | the | God | of the | fathers | of us | and | blessed | the | name | of you | [and] | holy | and | glorious | into | the | ages | let bless | you | the | heavens | and | all | the | creation | of you. |
6: You | made | Adam | and | gave | her | a helper | Eve | a support | the | wife | of him | from | these | came to be | of men | seed. | You | said | not | good | to be | man | alone | let us make | him | a helper | like | him. |
7: And | now | Lord | not | on account | fornication | I | take | the | sister | of me. | But | in | truth. | Bid | to have mercy | on me | and | that | we may become old together. |
8: And | she said | with | him, | Amen. |
9: And | slept | both | that | night. |
10: And | arose | Raguel | he went | and | he dug | a tomb | saying, | Not | also | he | be dead. |
11: And | came | Raguel | to | the | house | of him. |
12: And | he said | to Edna | the | wife | of him, |
13: And | entered | the | maid | having opened | the | door | and | she found | the | two | sleeping. |
14: And | coming forth | she told | them, | that | he was alive. |
15: And | praised | Raguel | God | saying, | Blessed | are | you | God | of | all | praise | pure | and | holy | and | let praise | you | the | saints | of you | and | all | the | creation | of you | and | all | the | angels | of you | and | the | elect | of you | let them praise | you | into | all | ages. |
16: Blessed | you are | because | you make joyful | me | and | not | has happened | to me | as | I though | but | according to | the | great | mercy | of you | you dealt | with | us. |
17: Praised | you are | because | you had mercy | on two | only-begotten children | Grant | them | O Lord | mercy. | Finish | the | life | of them | in | health | with | joy | and | mercy. |
18: | And ordered | his | servants | to fill | the | grave. |
19: And | he made | for them | a wedding | days | ten | and four. |
20: And | said | to him | Raguel | before | to finish | the | days | of the | wedding | with an oath | that not | to depart | him | if | not | fulfilled | the | ten | and four | days | of the | wedding. |
21: And | then | having taken | the | half | of the | goods | of him | to go | in | safety | to | his | father | and | the | rest | when | I die | and | the | wife | of me. |
Chapter 9
1: And | called | Tobias | Raphael | and | said | to him, |
2: Azarias, | brother, | take | with | you | a servant | and | two | camels, | and | go | to | Rages | of | Media | to | Gabael, | and | bring | me | the | silver | and | him | bring | to | the | wedding. |
3: Because | swore | Raguel | not | to depart | myself. |
4: And | the | father | of me | counts | the | days | and | if | I tarry | much | he will be tormented | greatly. |
5: And | went | Raphael | and | lodged | with | Gabael | and | he gave | him | the | handwriting | which | he brought forth | the | bags | being | sealed | and | gave | to him. |
6: And | they went early | together | and | they went | to | the | wedding | and | blessed | Tobias | the | wife | of him. |
Chapter 10
1: And | Tobit | the | father | of him | counted | each | day | and | was | were fulfilled | the | days | of the | journey | and | not | they came. |
2: He said | perhaps | they were detained? | or | perhaps | died | Gabael | and | no one | gave | to him | the | silver? |
3: And | he was sorrowful | very. |
4: | And said | to him | his | wife | dead | the | boy | because | he tarries | and | she began | to weep | for him | and | said, |
5: not | cares | for me | my son | because | I let go | you, | the | light | of the | my eyes. |
6: And | Tobit | said | to her | quiet, | not | a word | say, | he is well. |
7: And | she said | to him, | silence | do not | mislead | me. | Dead is | my son | and | she went | each | day | into | the | way | outside | wheresoever | she went | by day | bread | not | she ate, | and | by night | not | she ceased | grieving | for Tobit | her son | until | not | finished | the | ten | and four | days | of the | weddng | which | had sworn | Raguel | he would spend | there. |
8: | And said | Tobias | to | Raguel |
9: | But said | to to him | the | father-in-law | of him, | remain | with | me | and I | I will send | to | the | father | of you | and | they will declare | to him | the things | about | you. | And | Tobias | said, | No, | but | send | me, | to | the | father | of me. |
10: | And having arisen | Raguel | gave | to him | Sarah | his wife | and | half | of his | goods, | servants | and | cattle | and | money. |
11: And | having blessed | them, | he sent them off | saying, | He will prosper | your | children, | the | God | of | heaven | before | I | die. |
13: And | he said | to | Tobias | my son | beloved, | may He restore | to you | the | Lord | of heaven | and | allow | me | to see | your | children | from | Sarah | my daughter | so that | I might be glad | before | the | Lord | and | behold | I commit | you | my daughter | as | a special trust. | Do not | grieve | her. |
14: After | these things | left | Tobias | blessing | God | because | he caused to prosper | his way | and | he blessed | Raguel | and | Edna | his wife. |
Chapter 11
1: And | he went | until | drew near | them | to | Nineveh | and | said | Raguel | to | Tobias |
2: Not | you knew | brother | how | you left | your father: |
3: Let us make haste | before | your wife | and | let us prepare | the | house. |
4: | And take | from | your hand | the | gall | of the | fish | and | they went | and | came with | the | dog | after | them. |
5: And | Anna | sat | looking about | the | way | for her son. |
6: And | he saw | him | coming | and | said | to | his father, | Behold | your son | comes | and | the | man | going | with | him. |
7: And | Raphael | said | I know | that | he will open | his | eyes | your father. |
8: | Therefore | anoint | with | gall | his eyes | and | being pricked | he will rub | and | will fall away | the | whiteness | and | he will see | you. |
9: And | having run | Anna | fell | upon | the | neck | of | her son | and | said | to him, | Having seen | you | my son | from | now | I can die | and | they wept | both. |
10: And | Tobit | went out | to | the | door | and | stumbled, | but | his son | ran | to him. |
11: And | took | his father | and | put | gall | upon | the | eyes | of | his father | saying | rejoice | father. |
12: | And when | they hurt | he rubbed | his eyes | and | peeled away | from | the | corners | of | his eyes | the | whiteness. |
13: And | seeing | his son | he feel | on | his neck | and | he wept | and | he said, |
14: Blessed | are you | God | and | blessed | your name | into | the | ages | and | blessed | [are] all | your holy | angels | because | you scouraged | and | you had mercy | on me. | Behold | I see | Tobias | my son. |
15: And | came in | his son | rejoicing | and | he reported | to | his father | the great things | that happened | to him | in | Media. |
16: And | went out | Tobit | in order | to meet | his bride | rejoicing | and | blessing | God | at | the | gate | of Nineveh. | And | marveled | those looking | at him | going | because | he saw | and | Tobit | confessed | before | them | that | had mercy | on him | God. |
17: And | as | drew near | Tobit | to Sarah | his bride | he blessed | her | saying | you should come | in good health | daughter | blessed | God | which | led | you | to | us | and | your father | and | your mother. |
18: And | there came to be | joy | to all | those | in | Nineveh | of his brothers. |
19: And | came | Archiacharus | and | Nasbas | his sixth brother | and | had | the | wedding | Tobias | over | a joyful | seven | days. |
Chapter 12
1: And | called | Tobit | Tobias | his son | and | he said | to him | see | my boy | wages [are] | to the | man | who went with | you | and | pay | him | by compulsion. |
2: And | said | to him, | father, | not | I do harm | giving | him | half | that which | I bear. |
3: Because | he brought me | to you | safely | and | my wife | he healed | and | my money | he brought | and | you | likewise | he healed. |
4: And | said | the | old man, | it is fitting | for him. |
5: And | he called | the | angel | and | said | to him, | Take | half | of all | which | I bear. |
6: Then | having called | the | two | privately | he said | to them, | Blessed be | God | and | praise to him | his majesty. | Give | to him | and | praise | before | all | living things | concerning | which | he did | with | you. | Good [it is] | to praise | God | and | to exalt | his name | with words | the | works | of | God | honorable. | Having shown | also | do not | delay | to confess | him. |
7: The mystery | of the king | [it is] good | to hide | but the | works | of God | to reveal | in glory | good | you should do | and | evil | not | will find | you. |
8: Good [is] | prayer | with | fasting | and | alms-giving | and | righteousness. | [Is] good | a little | righteousness | than | much | unrighteousness. | Good | to do | alms | than | to treasure up | gold. |
9: | For alms | out | of death | rescues | and | it | will purge away | all | sin. | Those | that do | alms | and | righteousness | will be filled | with life. |
10: | And | sinners | enemies | are | to | their own | life. |
11: | Not | I will hide | from | you | any | word. | I said | however | the secret | of the king | to hide | is good, | but | the works | of | God | to reveal | is honorable. |
12: And | now | when | you prayed | and | your bride | Sarah | I | brought | the | memory | of | your pray | before | the | Holy One | and | when | you buried | the | dead | yourself | I was present | with you. |
13: And | when | not | you delayed | to rise up | and | to leave | your diner | in order that | leaving | you wrapped | the | dead body | not | hid | to me | your good deeds, | but | with | you | I was. |
14: And | now | sent | me | God, | to heal | you, | and | your bride | Sarah. |
15: I | am | Raphael | one | out | of the | seven | holy | angels | are | bearing | your prayers | which are holy | and | entering | before | the | glory | of the | Holy One. |
16: And | they were troubled | both | and | they fell | upon | their face | because | they were afraid. |
17: And | he said | to them | Do not | be afraid, | peace | to you | will be | and | God | bless | into | the | ages. |
18: Because | not | by | my | grace | but | by the | will | of | God | our | I came. | Wherefore | bless | him | forever. |
19: All | these | days | I appeared | to you | and | not | I ate | nor | I drank | but | a vision | you | saw. |
20: And | now | give thanks | to | God | because | I go up | to | the one that sent | me | and | write | everything | which was done | in | a book. |
21: And | they arose | and | not long | they saw | him. |
22: and | they praised | the | works | great | and | marvelous | of | God | and | as | looked | at them | the | angel | of the Lord. |
Chapter 13
1: And | Tobit | wrote | a prayer | for | rejoicing | and | he said, |
2: Blessed [be] | the | God | living | into | the | ages | and | his king | because | he | scourages | and | has mercy | he leads down | into | Hades | and | he leads up. | And | not | there is one | who | can flee from | his hand. |
3: Praise | him | sons | of Israel | before | the | Gentiles | because | he | scattered | us | among | them. |
4: There | he declares | the | his greatness. | Exalt | him | before | everything | living | because | he [is] | our Lord | and | God. | He [is] | our father | into | all | ages. |

Chapter 14
1: And | finished | praising [God] | Tobit. |
2: And | he was | years | fifty | eight | when | he lost | his sight | and | after | years | eight | he regained it | and | he did | alms-giving | and | he increased | in fear | of the Lord | God, | and | he praised | him. |
3: | And being greatly | aged | and | he called | his son, | and | his sons | and | said | to him, | Son, | take | your sons, | behold | I am old | and | about | to depart | from | life | I am. |
4: Go | to | Media | my son | because | I believed | those things | spoken | by Jonah | the | prophet | concerning | Nineveh | that | it will be overthrown | in | also | Media | there will be | peace | more | until | the time | that | our brothers | on | the | earth | will be scattered | from | the | good | earth | and | Jerusalem | will be | deserted | and | the | house | of | God | in | it | will be burnt | and | desolate | it will be | for | a time. |
5: And | again | will have mercy | on them | God, | and | he will turn | them | to | the | earth | and | they will build | the | house | not | like | the | first | until | is fulfilled | the time | of the | age | and | after | those things | they will return | from | their | captivity | and | they will build | Jerusalem | in glory | and | the | house | of | God | in | it | will be built | into | all | the | generations | of | ages | with a building | glorious | as | said | concerning | it | the | prophets. |
6: And | all | the | nations | will return | truly | to fear | the lord | God | and | they will bury | their idols | and | will bless | all | the | nations | the | Lord. |
7: And | his people | will praise | God | and | will exalt | the lord | his people; | and | will rejoice | all | those | loving | the Lord | God | in | truth | and | righteousness, | showing | mercy | to | our brothers. |
8: And | now | my son, | depart | from | Nineveh | because | of all | will happen | which | spoke | the | prophet | Jonah. |
9: | But | keep | the | law | and | the | commandments, | and | be | compassionate | and | just | in order that | for you | well | it might be | and | bury | me | well | and | your mother | with | me, | and | no more | tarry | in | Nineveh. |
10: | Behold my son | what | did | Amon | to Achiacharus | bringing up | him | as | from | the | light | he led | him | into | darkness | and | how | he rewarded | him | and | Achiacharus | was saved. | But to the other | his reward | he gave up | and | he | went down | into | the | darkness | of Manassah | to do | alms | and | he was saved | from | snare | of death | which | was fastened | to him. | But Aman | fell | into | the | trap | and | he perished. |
11: And | now | my son, | see | what | alms | does | and | how | righteousness | saves | and | these things | while saying this | departed | his | soul | upon | the | bed. | And he was | years | one hundred | fifty | eight | and | he buried | him | in glory. |
12: And | when | died | Anna | he buried | her | with | his father. | And departed | Tobias | with | his wife | and | his sons | into | Ecbatane | to | Raguel | his father-in-law. |
13: And | he aged | with honor, | and | he buried | his father-in-law | honorably, | and | he inherited | their substance | and | Tobit | his fathers’. |
14: And | he died | years | one hundred | twenty | seven | in | Ecbatane | in | Media. |
15: And | he heard | before | he died | the destruction | of Nineveh | which | was taken captive | by Nabuchdonosor | and | Assuerus | came | before | he | died | in | Nineveh. |
