< Instauratio Magna
——————————————————
The First Part of the Instauration,
which comprehends
the Division of the Sciences,
is wanting.
But they can be
partly taken
from the Second Book,
“On the Progress to be made
in Divine and
Human Learning.”
——————————————————
Next followeth the Second Part
of the Instauration,
which exhibits the Art of
interpreting Nature and of making a right Use
of the Understanding; not, however,
imbodied in a regular Treatise,
but only summarily
digested in
Aphorisms.
