A GIRL'S THOUGHT

I THOUGHT we had a lifetime at the least
To spend together:
And so I sat me laughing at my feast
While my Love faced bad weather.
There would be time to recompense all sorrow,
He should be sad to-day, and glad tomorrow;
So he set forth, unkissed, upon his way,
And he died, yesterday.
