It is hereby ordered that the following-described portion of the military reservation
at Valdez, Alaska, known as cable reservation No. 2, lying southwesterly
of McKinley Street and northwesterly of Reservation Avenue, being one of the
reservations made for military purposes by Executive Order dated June 30, 1904
(G. O. No. 166, War Department, Washington, Oct. 20, 1904), be, and the same is
hereby, withdrawn from reservation and placed under the control of the Secretary
of the Interior, under the provisions of the act of July 5, 1884 (23 Stat L.,
103), the same having become useless for military purposes, for disposition
under said act or as may be otherwise provided by law, with a view to incorporating
the same in the street system of the town of Valdez, Alaska, viz:
Beginning on the northwesterly side of Reservation Avenue, at a point 137 feet 7.92 Inches from the southwesterly side of McKinley Street; thence and 28° 33′ W., parallel with the southwesterly side of said McKinley Street, 75 feet 2.88 inches to the northwesterly side of the said reservation; thence S. 61° 27′ W., 44 feet 6 inches to the westerly comer of the said reservation; thence S. 28° 33′ E., with the southwesterly side of the reservation to Reservation Avenue; thence with reservation Avenue N. 61° 27′ E., 44 feet 6 inches, to the point of beginning.
