The unclassified laborers employed in the Customs Service at the port of New York, whose names appear upon a list of persons recommended for classification as classified laborers by the Treasury Department, may be given a status as classified laborers, on the recommendation of the Civil Service Commission, in view of the classified duties performed by them.
