Berger, Louis. A celebrated pianist and pupil of Clementi, born at Berlin in 1777. He published a valuable work, entitled "Douze Etudes pour le Pianoforte," which is reprinted at Clementi's, in London. The exercises are stated, in Clementi's Catalogue, to hold a middle station between facility and extreme difficulty. They are fingered by the author, so as to render them of great advantage to performers who have small hands.
