Syrianus
(5th century – 437)

Greek Neoplatonist philosopher, native of Alexandria and head of Plato's Academy in Athens, succeeding Plutarch of Athens in 431/432. He was the teacher of Proclus and a commentator on both Plato and Aristotle.
