According to the Christian Bible, Mary (Miriam: Hebrew: מרים‎; c. 18 BC – c. 43 AD), also known as St Mary the Virgin, the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Mary, Mary the Mother of God, or the Virgin Mary—amongst other titles, styles and honorifics—was a Galilean Jewish woman of Nazareth and the mother of Jesus.
