Adela Florence Cory Nicolson
(1865–1904)

British writer; pen name Laurence Hope; educated in England. At age 16 she joined her father in India, where she spent most of her adult life. In 1889 she married Col. Malcolm H. Nicolson, a man twice her age; committed suicide two months after his death in 1904.
