Helen Hunt Jackson
(1830–1885)

Helen Maria Fiske Hunt Jackson, an American poet, writer and activist for the first nations of North America. Works include the non-fiction book A Century of Dishonor (1881), and the novel Ramona (1884). Also published as H. H. Saxe Holm and Helen Jackson.
