William Joseph Cosens Lancaster
(1851/1843–1922)

British civil engineer who specialised in seas and harbours. An author of nautical and piratical fiction. Wrote under the pseudonym Harry Collingwood.

Re-issued Work

For Treasure Bound (1897) is an edited single volume reissue of the author's first book, the two volume Secret of the Sands (1878). Some of the chapters are the same, word for word, others have been tighten up or reordered.

This last work (available on Archive.org) was reprinted and attributed to William Joseph Cosens Lancaster but appears to have been written by William John Lancaster, the Secretary of the Prudential Assurance Company.
