Adriaan Joseph van Rossem
(1892–1949)

American ornithologist. President of the Cooper Ornithological Club. Taught at Occidental College from 1928 (which awarded him an honorary doctorate in 1948). Received the Brewster Medal in 1941 for The Birds of El Salvador. Curator and Senior Zoologist at the University of California (from 1946).
