Oh! there are golden moments in men's lives,
Sudden, unlooked for, as the little clouds
All gold, which suddenly illume the gates
Of the lost sun.
Oh, pray for them! They bring
No increase like the gains of sun and showers,
Only a moments brightness to the earth,
Only a moments gleam in common life,
Yet who would change them for the wealth of worlds?
