Yoshimitsu Banno
Yoshimitsu Banno (坂野 義光, Ban'no Yoshimitsu, March 30, 1931 – May 7, 2017)[1] was a Japanese movie director and screenwriter. He was known for directing and writing the cult-classic Godzilla vs. Hedorah.
He was an executive producer on the Legendary Pictures's American Godzilla movies, Godzilla (2014) and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019). He was born in Imabari, Japan.
Banno died of problems caused by a subarachnoid hemorrhage in Kawasaki, Japan on May 7, 2017 at the age of 86.[2]
