Yohkoh
Yohkoh (ようこう, meaning "sunbeam"), is the name of a Japanese artificial satellite which was put into orbit.

The launch was a project of the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science of the University of Tokyo.
The satellite was sent into orbit on August 30, 1991.[1] Its mission was to study the sun.
On September 12, 2005 the spacecraft burned up during reentry.
