Yevgeny Shaposhnikov

Yevgeny Ivanovich Shaposhnikov (Russian: Евгений Иванович Шапошников; 3 February 1942 – 8 December 2020) was a Soviet and Russian military leader and politician. He was born in Rostov Oblast, Soviet Union. Shaposhnikov was Minister of Defence between 1991 and 1992.

Shaposhnikov died on 8 December 2020 in Moscow from COVID-19 at the age of 78.[1]
