Vere Bird
Sir Vere Cornwall Bird Sr., KNH (9 December 1910 – 28 June 1999) was the first Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda. His son, Lester Bryant Bird, replaced him as Prime Minister.

In 1994, he was made a Knight of the Order of the National Hero (KNH) by his native country Antigua and Barbuda.[1]
