Van Cliburn

Harvey Lavan "Van" Cliburn Jr. (July 12, 1934 – February 27, 2013) was an American classical pianist.

Cliburn was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on July 12, 1934. He moved to Kilgore, Texas at age six. He died on February 27, 2013 from bone cancer in Fort Worth, Texas, aged 78.[1]

As an honour, a street in Fort Worth, Texas was named after him.
