Uveal melanoma
Uveal melanoma is a cancer (melanoma) of the eye. It affects the iris, ciliary body, or choroid. Tumors come from the pigment cells (melanocytes) that are in the uvea and give color to the eye.
When eye melanoma is spread to distant parts of the body, the five-year survival rate is about 15%.[1]
