Transfer (association football)
In professional football, a transfer is when a player under a contract moves to another club. Players can only be transferred during a transfer window. It also has to follow the rules of a governing body such as FIFA. There is a transfer fee paid by the club that gets the player to the club that a player has a contract with. When a player moves from one club to another, their old contract is ended.[1]

Neymar is the most expensive player in the history of association football, according to the clubs involved in his 2017 transfer.
