The Long, Hot Summer

The Long, Hot Summer is a 1958 American drama movie directed by Martin Ritt and was based on the short stories and novel by William Faulkner. It stars Paul Newman, Orson Welles, Joanne Woodward, Lee Remick, Angela Lansbury, Richard Anderson, Mabel Albertson and was distributed by 20th Century Fox. It was later spun-off into a TV series in 1965.
