Taylor County, Texas
Taylor County is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. In 2020, 143,208 people lived there.[1] The county seat is Abilene. It was named for three brothers who died at the Battle of the Alamo, Edward Taylor, George Taylor, and James Taylor. Taylor County has been home to Dyess Air Force Base since 1942.
