Tabulating machine

The tabulating machine was a machine used to make the 1890 United States census. It was made by Herman Hollerith. Hollerith's machine used punched cards to store information with by categorisation.

Invented by Herman Hollerith, the machine was developed to help process data for the 1890 U.S. Census.Herman Hollerith's tabulator consisted of electrically-operated components that captured and processed census data by "reading" holes on paper punch cards.
