Somkiat Pongpaiboon
Somkiat Pongpaiboon (Thai script: สมเกียรติ พงษ์ไพบูลย์; 12 January 1950 – 14 November 2021) was a Thai academic and politician. He was a Professor at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand. He became a member of the Thai House of Representatives in 2007 from Democrat Party. He was a critic of Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.[1]

Somkiat was hospitalized for a cerebral hemorrhage in Bangkok on 17 October 2021.[2][3][4] He died a month later on 14 November, aged 71.[5]
