Shuin

Goshuin is a seal or impression of a Shinto shrine or temple that is stamped on visitors. In addition to affixing the seal, it is common to have the date of worship, the name of the temple, the enshrined deity, the name of the principal image, etc. They are written in black ink. Also, the notebook used to receive Goshuin is called "Goshuin-cho".
