Shih Chun-jen
Shih Chun-jen (Chinese: 施純仁; 2 December 1923 – 18 June 2017) was a Taiwanese neurosurgeon. He led the Department of Health from 1986 to 1990.[1] Shih was appointed the head surgeon at Tri-Service General Hospital, a medical institution affiliated with the National Defense Medical Center, in 1975. Two years later, he co-founded the Taiwan Neurological Society. He was born in Gosei, Taikō, Taichū Prefecture, Taiwan, Empire of Japan.
Shih died of a heart attack at a hospital in Taipei on 18 June 2017, aged 93.[2]
