Shen Zhonghou

Shen Zhonghou (Chinese: 沈忠厚; pinyin: Shěn Zhōnghòu; 13 February 1928 – 5 February 2021) was a Chinese engineer. He was a professor and doctoral supervisor at China University of Petroleum (Beijing). He was an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) from 2001 until his death. He was known as "Father of Drilling Bit".[1] Shen was born in Dazhu County, Sichuan.

Shen died on 5 February 2021 in Beijing, aged 92.[1]
