Sheila Dixon
Sheila Dixon (born December 27, 1953) is an American politician. She was the first African American female mayor in Baltimore, Maryland. She was also the third African American mayor in Baltimore.[1]

In 2016, Dixon unsuccessfully sought election as mayor of Baltimore. She lost to Catherine Pugh. In the 2020 mayoral election, she barely lost in June 2's primary to Brandon Scott. [2]
Dixon was born in Baltimore, Maryland.
Controversy
In 2010 Dixon was convicted for embezzlement. She resigned after the conviction. She used her power for the benefit of her campaign manager and her sister Janice.[2]
Personal life
Dixon dated Ron Lipscomb, a developer.[2]
