SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant
SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant, also known as lineage B.1.617.2, is a variant of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.[1] It was first detected in India in late 2020.[2][3] The World Health Organization (WHO) named it the Delta variant on 31 May 2021.[4]
