Rudolph G. Wilson
Rudolph G. Wilson (June 17, 1935 – December 4, 2017) was an American professor, writer, storyteller and public speaker. He was known by his students as "Papa Rudy". He was the first African American member of the Edwardsville School Board. He later became the first elected black president of the school board. In 1965, he became the first African American to teach in an all-white school

Wilson was born in Detroit, Michigan. He was married to Sandrah Lavernn Wilson. They had two sons and two daughters.
Wilson died on December 4, 2017 in Glen Carbon, Illinois, at the age of 82.[1]
