Richard Kosolapov
Richard Ivanovich Kosolapov (Russian: Ричард Иванович Косолапов; 25 March 1930 – 15 November 2020) was a Soviet Russian scientist, author, social philosopher and journalist. He was born in Novonikolaevskaya, Volgograd Oblast. [1] He was a Professor at the Moscow State University (MSU).
Starting in 1974, he became the First Deputy Chief Editor of Pravda, and in 1976 became the Editor-in-Chief of the Kommunist, a post which he held until 1986. During his time at Kommunist, he was twice elected to the Central Committee of the CPSU, in 1976 and 1981.[2]
Kosolapov died on 15 November 2020 in Moscow at the age of 90.[3]
