Resort town
A resort town or resort city is an urban area where tourism generates income for most of the people who live there. Such a city usually has one or more actual resorts around it. Sometimes the term is used to refer to a place that is popular with tourists. The first such cities were created in the early 19th century.
The Kurhaus in Heiligendamm, founded 1793. Heiligendamm is the oldest seaside resort in ccentral Europe.
