Policy debate

Policy debate is a competition where two sides argue for and against a resolution, which usually calls for a change in policy in the U.S. government. It is also called cross-examination debate, Cross-X debate, CX debate, Cross-ex debate, or C-X debate. This is because of a three minute "cross-examination" between each constructive speech.
