Peter Matthiessen

Peter Matthiessen (May 22, 1927 – April 5, 2014) was an American novelist, naturalist, and wilderness writer. He is known for his books The Snow Leopard and In the Spirit of Crazy Horse.

Matthiessen died on April 5, 2014 from leukemia in Sagaponack, New York, aged 86.[1]
