Mohammad Javad Zarif
Mohammad Javad Zarif (Persian: محمدجواد ظریف, romanized: Mohammad-Javād Zarīf; Persian pronunciation: [mohæmːædd͡ʒæˌvɒːde zæˌɾiːf]; born c. 7 January 1960) is an Iranian politician.[4] He has been foreign minister of Iran since 2013. He helped end the economic sanctions against Iran from many countries on 16 January 2016.[5]

On 25 February 2019, Zarif resigned from his post as foreign minister.[6] His resignation was rejected by President Hassan Rouhani.
