"Miss Independent" is a 2003 song by the singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson, released from her album Thankful. It was the second single overall at the time of its release by Clarkson, and her second Top Ten hit in Billboard Hot 100. Miss Independent was nominated with Best Female Pop Vocal Performance; however, the song lost the award to the Christina Aguilera song Beautiful.
