Mineralocorticoid

Mineralocorticoids are corticosteroids, a type of steroid hormone. Mineralocorticoids are produced in the adrenal cortex. They influence salt and water balances (electrolyte balance and fluid balance). The main mineralocorticoid is aldosterone.
