Michael Franken
Michael Thane Franken (born November 8, 1957) is an American retired United States Navy vice admiral and politician. He was the deputy director of military operations for the United States Africa Command.

Franken was the Democratic nominee for the United States Senate in Iowa's 2022 election.[2] He ran for the Senate in 2018, but lost the nomination to Theresa Greenfield.
