Mera Chaorel Houba

Mera Chaorel Houba (Old Manipuri: Mela Chaolel Houpa) or Mera Chaoren Houba (Old Manipuri: Mela Chaolen Houpa) is a religious festival dedicated to Lainingthou Sanamahi and Leimarel Sidabi, celebrated by the Meitei people and the tribesmen communities of Manipur, on the 1st lunar day of "Mera" (Old Manipuri: Mela) month of the Meitei calendar (Manipuri calendar). The main theme of the festival is the unification and love of the indigenous communities of Ancient Manipur (Antique Kangleipak) realm. Its main venue of celebration is in the Kangla, the metropolis of Ancient Manipur (Antique Kangleipak).[1][2]
