Martin Richard Hoffmann

Martin Richard Hoffmann (April 20, 1932 – July 14, 2014) was an American politician. He served as the United States Secretary of the Army between 1975 and 1977.[2]

Martin was born in Stockbridge, Massachusetts on April 20, 1932.[1]

Hoffmann served as general counsel of the Department of Defense, 1974 - 75. He was appointed as Secretary of the Army from August 5, 1975 until February 13, 1977.[1]

He died of cancer in Warren, Virginia, aged 82.[3]
