Marc Basnight
Marc Basnight (May 13, 1947 – December 28, 2020) was an American politician and businessman. He was a member of the Democratic Party. Basnight was born in Manteo, North Carolina. From 1985 to 2011, he was a member of the North Carolina Senate. From 1993 to 2011, he was President pro tempore of the state senate.
Basnight died on December 28, 2020 in Manteo from problems caused by progressive bulbar palsy at the age of 73.[1]
