Mafioso rap

Mafioso rap is a form of hardcore hip hop music that originated in the East Coast hip hop scene of the 1980s. The genere began to die down but then it was bought back to the mainstream in the early 2000s. The themes of Mafioso rap are known for organized crime, mobsters and expensive champagne. Lil' Kim's 2003 mafioso album La Bella Mafia sold over two million copies.
